STATISTICS GENERALITIES
At the Institute of Sport Medicine in Bologna we have a dbf archive of about 35000 records.
Each record represents a complete athlete check up made by a sport medicine specialized physician working at our institute ( aptitude test ).
Only Authorized physicians, with a unique password linked to a personal floppy disk may use the system and each modification made is registered with owner password and under his responsability.
We think this could be a very special data base to study sport physiology and physio pathology in athletes.
For each athlete we register the following fields:
generic data:
first name, second name, birthday, identification document, address, profession, type of sport, level ( dilectant, professionist ).
anamnesys ( complete )
weight
height
pa min e max at rest
objective examination including:
orthopedics
abdomen and genitals
respiratory system
cardiac system
visual capacity
chromatic sense
sense of hearing
objective examination results
spirometry ( cv, cvf, fev1, tiffenau, mvv, spirometry results )
ecg at rest ( freq, pq, qt )
ecg after stress test ( 3 minutes ) ( step test ) ( freq, pq, qt )
ecg results
uranalysis
eeg
neurologic examination
otorhinolaryngology examination
other examinations: ( echo, holter etc. )
sport aptitude
reason of eventual denied aptitude
besides we register also ....
physician identity, date and hour of the visit.
